Celebrate Philip Glass’ 80th birthday with a special performance. After opening with Bach’s Keyboard Concerto No. 7 in G Minor, Simone Dinnerstein and LSO will premiere the newly-composed Piano Concerto No. 3 by Philip Glass, written especially for Simone. The second half opens with Vaughan Williams’ noble yet yearning overture to The Wasps, a fitting prelude to Elgar’s beloved Enigma Variations.
