Concert: The Haunted House | October 16 at 7:30pm

Enjoy spooky orchestra classics, such as Night on Bald Mountain, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, and Danse Macabre. On the second half, the orchestra provides live musical accompaniment to Buster Keaton’s silent film The Haunted House (1921), a short comedy about a bank teller who becomes involved in a hold-up, counterfeiters, and a theatrical troupe posing as spooks in a haunted house. Wear your favorite Halloween costume!

Tickets are just $15/$30 and youth tickets (17 and younger) are only $5.

Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra invites young musicians to enter LSO’s 2015-16 Young Artist Competition. The winner will have the opportunity to perform as a soloist with the orchestra and receive a private rehearsal and coaching with LSO Resident Conductor, Dr. Tyler White. Spend two Sunday afternoons this season listening to a live symphony perform entertaining, family oriented shows. LSO’s family pass includes tickets for parents and all children in the family for one low price of $50. The hour-long concerts are held at O’Donnell Auditorium (Nebraska Wesleyan campus) at 2:00 PM. Starting at 1:00 PM, come enjoy face painting, a musical petting zoo, crafts, and other family activities!
