Midori called “Captivating and Breath-Taking”

Click here for a short video of the LSO dress rehearsal with Midori and the Lincoln Youth Symphony. Before the dress rehearsal, Midori greeted members of the Lincoln Youth Symphony at a pizza dinner sponsored by Valentinos (pictured right). The next morning, Midori and Barbara Zach, Executive Director, participated in NET’s Friday Live and previewed what would be a landmark concert for LSO. Following the concert, there was a crowd waiting to greet Midori at the post-concert reception after a riveting performance of Korngold’s Violin Concerto in D Major.

“Her cadenza to the first movement was breathtaking, with stunning passage work. The ambiance of the second movement was serene and shimmering, with a great sense of balance between Midori and the orchestra. The third movement contained brisk finger-work in a charming staccato jig. Quite simply, Midori was captivating; she received two well-deserved curtain calls for her performance.” Click here to read the full review.
