LSO Gala: The Three Nebraska Tenors | Saturday, March 19, 6-9PM

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra and The Three Nebraska Tenors, conducted by Edward Polochick! LSO is hosting its annual fundraising gala at the Country Club of Lincoln onSaturday, March 19. Guests will enjoy a traditional Irish dinner followed by an orchestra concert featuring tenors Drew Duncan, Kevin Hanrahan and Tom Westfall, singing Irish favorites such as Danny Boy, When Irish Eyes Are Smiling and ‘Tis the Last Rose of Summer. The audience will also be treated to everyone’s favorite arias, including Nessun Dorma from Turandot and La Donne e Mobile from Rigoletto. Tickets cost $100 per person; cocktail hour is at 6:00 PM, dinner will be served at 6:45 PM, and the concert will begin at 8:00 PM.

The bold and majestic Toccata Festiva of Samuel Barber opens the concert with Tom Trenney at the organ. Next, the Abendmusik Chorus and Doane Choir join the stage for a newly commissioned choral work and Dreams of the Fallen by Jake Runestad, with pianist Jeffrey Biegel. The Lied Organ at First-Plymouth church takes center stage in Saint-Saens’ Organ Symphony.

Please join us for a special four-course dinner and presentation. Abendmusik Executive Director Jeremy Bankson will explain the basics of how pipe organs work, as well as what makes the Lied Organ and Ruth Marie Amen Gallery Organ unique. Experience special footage from the installation as well as some “Behind the Façade Pipes” views of these amazing instruments.
