Isabella Amador began studying the violin when she was four years old at the Omaha Conservatory of Music where she is a 2015 David Jasper Scholarship recipient. Her primary teachers have been Rosa Flores, Erin Aguirre, and Ruth Meints. Miss Amador has won Orchestra Omaha’s Concerto Competition in junior and senior divisions, Hastings Symphony Concerto Competition (second place), the Millard North High School Concerto competition and the Nebraska MTNA competition “Senior Performance”. Isabella performs regularly with the Frontier String Ensemble and the Omaha Area Youth Orchestra where she is currently concertmaster. In the summers, she has attended Sound Encounters with Brian Lewis, Mountain Top Mastercourse with David Russell, the Innsbrook Music Festival, and Center Stage Strings with Danielle Belen.
Isabella Amador will have the opportunity to perform as a soloist with the orchestra at Nebraska Wesleyan’s O’Donnell Auditorium on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 2:00PM. She will also perform on LSO’s Young People’s Concerts at the Lied Center and receive private coaching from LSO Resident Conductor, Dr. Tyler White.
