Join LSO for the second year of our five-year journey to perform all nine of Beethoven’s symphonies, leading up to his 250th birthday in 2020. The Lincoln Youth Symphony joins LSO in a side-by-side performance of the overture to Beethoven’s opera, Fidelio. Next is Beethoven’s lighthearted (yet never lightweight) Symphony No. 8, fondly referred to as his “little symphony in F.” The evening closes with its beloved big brother, Symphony No. 6 (Pastorale), capturing the beauty of the countryside.
